ECOWAS REGIONAL TRANSITION TIMETABLE

The ECOWAS regional workshop on the Digital Dividend (DD) held in Accra, Ghana from 30th June to 1st July 2015 recommended that Member States shall take the appropriate and necessary steps to complete the switch-off of analogue broadcasting latest by June 2017. This new deadline is set to take in consideration the time frame required to deploy DTT infrastructure in Member States.

To this end, ECOWAS Commission was requested to develop a roadmap and monitor DTT process with member states. The following Roadmap is proposed by the Commission to ensure that all the Member States will meet the deadline of June 2017. It is based on the state of progress in the A-D Transition provided by the Member States.
